Janet (Folger) Porter is a renowned speaker, author of five books including “The Criminalization of Christianity”, hosts a live daily radio program currently aired in 70 markets across America, and is the President and Founder of Faith2Action. Janet also has a 60-second daily commentary that is heard on about 140 stations nationwide.
Before founding Faith2Action in
2003, Janet served as the National Director for the Center for Reclaiming
America, founded by Dr. D. James Kennedy [from 1997-2002].
Janet has appeared on NBC's Today Show, ABC's Evening News,
20/20, and Nightline, CBS This Morning, FOX News including
The O'Reilly Factor, Hannity & Colmes, The Big Story,
Heartland, and Huckabee, MSNBC including Hardball with Chris
Mathews, CNN, including Inside Politics and CNN Headline News, and
the syndicated Extra among others.
LTG (Ret) Jerry Boykin was one of the
original members of the US Army's Delta Force. He was privileged to ultimately
command these elite warriors in combat operations. Later, Jerry Boykin commanded
all the Army's Green Berets as well as the Special Warfare Center and School. In
his thirty-six years in the army, LTG Boykin also served a tour with the CIA. He
has participated in clandestine operations around the world and served his last
four years in the Army as the Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for
Intelligence.
LTG Boykin has participated in almost all of the United States' special operations since 1979, including Desert One, the failed 1979 mission to rescue American hostages held in Iran after the Islamic revolution that toppled the shah. He led the invasions of Grenada and Panama in 1983 and 1989 respectively, accepted the surrender of Manuel Noriega and headed the chase to capture Colombian drug czar Pablo Escobar in 1992. In 1993, he clashed with Muslim warlord Osman Atto in Somalia, chronicled in the film Black Hawk Down.
LTG Boykin now speaks several hundred times a year through his ministry “Kingdom Warriors”. LTG Boykin has an wonderful Christian testimony and love for the Lord. He is also well versed in the dangers of the threat of Islam.
Dr. John Morris is a renowned geologist and scientist. He is the President of the Institute of Creation Research. Dr. Morris carries on the work of his late father Dr. Henry Morris the famous theologian and expert in creation science. Dr. Morris is an accomplished and entertaining speaker and is the author of five books.
In 1969, Dr. Morris received a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute. In 1977 he received a M.S. in Geological Engineering from the University of Oklahoma, as well as earned a Ph.D. in 1980. He was a research assistant from 1978-1980 and assistant professor of Geological Engineering from 1980-1984 at Oklahoma University as well.
Peter LaBarbera is president of Americans For Truth (about Homosexuality, or AFTAH), a group dedicated to exposing the homosexual activist agenda. Founded as a part-time venture in 1996 but newly reorganized in August 2006, AFTAH seeks to apply the same single-minded determination to opposing the radical homosexual agenda and standing for God-ordained sexuality and the natural family as countless homosexual groups do in promoting their harmful agenda.
Americans For Truth is a rare single-issue national group on the other side of this critical “culture war” issue. Meanwhile, there are over a dozen national American “gay” groups with annual budgets ranging from just under $1 million to over $30 million working to advance this agenda — which threatens to criminalize Christian opposition to behavior that most Americans believe is wrong.
Reclaiming Oklahoma for Christ Conference – 2008 was held on Friday
night, July 11 and Saturday morning, July 12, at the Hardeman Auditorium on
the campus of Oklahoma Christian University in Edmond.
Barton also shared results from recent elections and challenged Christians
to make their voices heard at the ballot box this November. Barton said,
“Elections are not a reflection of the will of the people. They are a
reflection of the will of the people that vote.” He noted that great
progress was made in Congress over the past ten years as almost 70% of
Congressmen and Senators were pro-life and pro-family. However, in 2006, nine of
ten freshmen Senators were pro-abortion and pro-homosexual marriage. That is
what happens when Christians decide to stay home rather than vote.
Dr. John Morris, President of the Institute of Creation Research, shared
compelling evidence through lecture and slides on the
evidence of a young earth and shared archeological evidence that substantiates
the Biblical teaching of dinosaurs.
Bill Federer, President of Amerisearch, made his third appearance at
Reclaiming Oklahoma and has spoken at each of the three previous annual
conferences. This year Mr. Federer taught on the history of Islam and the
trail of deceit and blood that extends all the way back to its founding.
In
addition to the 27 hosting pastors, ministers from across the State of Oklahoma
and surrounding states attended this year’s conference. Pastors from Kansas,
Missouri and Texas expressed their desire to take a strong stand for Christ in
their respective states. That is the ultimate goal—to awaken pastors. Reclaiming
Oklahoma is not a once per year “cheer session’, but an annual boost as we
assist and equip pastors and their congregations to be a continual presence of
“Salt and Light” in their own communities.
