Dr. John Morris, President of the Institute of Creation Research, shared
compelling evidence through lecture and slides on
the
evidence of a young earth and shared archeological evidence that substantiates
the Biblical teaching of dinosaurs.
Mat Staver, Founder of Liberty Counsel and the Dean of the School of Law at
Liberty University, spoke on the threat to our American culture by the
redefinition of traditional marriage. On Saturday, he delivered a stirring
challenge to Christians entitled “Don’t Be Afraid of the Words You Have
Heard” taken from Isaiah 37:5.
Bill Federer, President of Amerisearch, made his third appearance at
Reclaiming Oklahoma and has spoken at each of the three previous annual
conferences. This year Mr. Federer taught on the history of Islam and the trail
of deceit and blood that extends all the way back to its founding.
This year’s event was co-hosted by 27 different Pastors and Churches.
America was established as a result of a great revival called the Great
Awakening. In fact, John Adams named patriot pastors as being “most influential”
in the call for liberty in America. The British Parliament derogatorily referred
to these pastors as the “Black Regiment” as they would ascend to their pulpits
in their black robes and stir the people’s hearts to liberty every Sunday.
Pastors must be reminded that we aren’t called by God to be “managers” of
competitive businesses. We are called to proclaim “Thus saith the LORD”
and prepare our congregations for ministry and then to lead them out in
evangelism and to take a strong stand for righteousness in our culture.

We take for granted our liberties including religious liberty, not
recognizing that we are literally one election away from our Government having
the ability to pass “hate crimes” legislation which will make Bible preaching
against the law. We are in desperate need of another Great Awakening, otherwise
the face of America may drastically change in the very near future.
In
addition to the 27 hosting pastors, ministers from across the State of Oklahoma
and surrounding states attended this year’s conference. Pastors from Kansas,
Missouri and Texas expressed their desire to take a strong stand for Christ in
their respective states. That is the ultimate goal—to awaken pastors. Reclaiming
Oklahoma is not a once per year “cheer session’, but an annual boost as we
assist and equip pastors and their congregations to be a continual presence of
“Salt and Light” in their own communities.
The first Reclaiming Oklahoma for Christ was held in October, 2006, and drew
about 200 people. The second annual conference was held in July, 2007, drawing
around 400. Momentum continued to grow as roughly 1500 joined together in
January, 2008, for a “One Day Crusade to Save America” with Pastor/Evangelist
Rick Scarborough and Chaplain Gordon Klingenschmitt. In April 2008, over 2000
crammed into the State of Oklahoma State Capitol, with thousands more being
turned away because of capacity limits, to rally in support of Representative
Sally Kern and Traditional Biblical Family Values. (SEE

Over 2000 turn out to
Rally for Sally Kern and Traditional Family Values!!
On Wednesday, April 2,
a tremendous demonstration of support for State Representative Sally Kern and
Traditional Family Values was held at the Oklahoma State Capitol. Over
2000 people, including an estimated 150 pastors from around the state, jammed
the first floor rotunda and spilled over to the 2nd and 3rd
floor balconies to watch to program and express their support for Kern.
Just minutes before the scheduled noon start, Capitol Security asked
organizers if the rally could be moved outside because of the tremendous crowd.
A Reclaiming Oklahoma for Christ spokesman said, “We were told that there
were still lines of
people waiting to get in and they
(Security) would not allow any more people into the Capitol.” Unfortunately
it was logistically impossible to move at the last minute. Even though
hundreds of additional supporters were not admitted, the Rally for Sally and
Traditional Family Values went on as scheduled. The forty-minute
program was hosted by local radio personality Reid Mullins. Local
pastors Jack Bettis, Steve Kern, Rod Rieger, and Chilles Hutchinson voiced
prayers and led
in the singing of the National Anthem. Special Guest Speakers
included Stephen Black, from First Stone Ministries, who shared his testimony as
a former homosexual who was born again out of that lifestyle 26 years ago; Peter LaBarbera, President of Americans for Truth; and Paul Blair, Pastor of Fairview
Baptist Church in Edmond and founder of Reclaiming Oklahoma for Christ. But the
highpoint of the day was when Rep. Sally Kern addressed the crowd.

Kern,
after receiving hundreds of threats and hate filled e-mail from members of the
radical homosexual lobby around the country, was touched by the tremendous
outpouring of support. She said, “I’ve been called lots of names, and I can’t
repeat most of those names. Some of the good names I’ve been called have been
courageous, brave and a hero. And I want you to know – and I mean this with all
my heart – I have more trouble relating to those good names than I do the bad
names. I say that because I’m a sinner and I’m not worthy of God’s grace.”
The Rally was
carried live around the world via the Internet on the Wiley Drake Show (www.crusaderadio.com).
During the program, Reclaiming Oklahoma headquarters received nearly 100 phone
calls and e-mails from around the country expressing prayer and support.

A special thanks is extended to the
ministers who participated in this rally and the thousands of Christians who
came from as far away as the Oklahoma panhandle, Texas and Kansas. Also, a very
special thank you to KQCV Radio, the local Bott Radio Network affiliate and
Oklahoma’s Quality Christian Voice. |
