70 WEEKS TO SAVE AMERICA

One-Day Crusade to Save America Tremendous Success!!!

In the last 40 years, the moral values in America have plummeted from The Andy Griffith Show to Brokeback Mountain. As we bear witness to the erosion of morality and traditional values in our land, most Christians stand idly by, wringing their hands and doing nothing.

America was born as the result of a great nationwide revival called the Great Awakening. If America hopes to continue as a sovereign republic, she is in dire need of another Great Awakening.

Perhaps Sunday night, January 27, will be the “shot heard round the world” as twelve churches gathered to call America to revival at the One-Day Crusade to Save America.

Over fifteen hundred Christians from twelve congregations came together unified in the mission to proclaim the name of Jesus Christ in America on this great night. The mood was set with beautiful hymns sung by the congregation and a combined orchestra and choir under the leadership of Chris Malone. Chris Holloway then performed a beautiful rendition of the Star Spangled Banner. For the past three years, Chris has been the featured soloist for the great Dr. D. James Kennedy.

Pastor Kevin Clarkson led this great group in prayer and then our hearts were stirred by the testimony of former Navy Chaplain Gordon Klingenschmitt who stood up to the United States Navy when told he could no longer pray in Jesus name.

Finally, Dr. Rick Scarborough, the President of Vision America, preached an inspiring message calling the Christians in America to revival and action. Several made professions of faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior this night and hundreds came forward to pray and commit themselves to action. As Isaiah prayed “Here am I Lord, send me.”

The evening concluded in prayer, song and confetti and streamers fired into the air filling the auditorium. We praise the Lord for His Mercy, Wonder and Grace!!

Over the past eighteen months, Reclaiming Oklahoma for Christ has worked to awaken pastors to awaken their congregations and get busy with evangelism and standing against the spread of sin in our culture. The first conference, held in October of 2006, attracted over 200 attendees. The next conference, held in July of 2007, more than doubled in attendance. And this week over fifteen hundred came together.

Thanks are extended to Bethel Community Church/Deer Creek (Dale Borth, Pastor), Church of God Outreach/Guthrie (Wayne Murphey, Pastor), Fairview Baptist Church/Edmond (Paul Blair, Pastor), First Baptist Church/Moore (Kevin Clarkson, Pastor), Heritage Baptist Church/OKC (Marty Brown, Pastor), Mt. Remember the immortal words of Edmund Burke, “All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.”
